About Us
Located in Central Wisconsin, between Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield and Stevens
Point, Kickapoo Valley Cheese was founded in 1978 when Arnold Leytus purchased a
small dairy and converted the building into a cheese packaging facility. Over the
years, the plant has grown through improvements and additions to the buildings and
equipment, building up to today's structure, featuring several production lines,
on-site cooler, warehouse and administrative services.
We are a customer oriented, nimble provider of custom and private label packaging
and services. We like to think of ourselves as big enough to handle large
companies / contracts, but small enough to maintain the personal touch. While we
specialize in Wisconsin cheeses, we also happily handle other domestic or imported
varieties as well as organic cheeses.
The types of cheeses we work with and the package configurations we support are
too much to list here, so contact us for a more comprehensive listing. In short,
we handle blocks, wheels, rounds, deli-horns, Italian cheeses and other varieties,
including rBST free and organic varieties. While our specialty is custom packaging,
we routinely slice cheese into various weights and shingle or stack the slices.
We also package wedges, various shaped chunks and cubes. Resealable and/or easy-open
options are available for many configurations.
